I am a "funtographer". I enjoy taking a minimum of equipment, and having fun extracting the maximum beauty from everyday scenes in my life. Anyone can go to Iceland to take a spectacular picture of a waterfall. It takes real skill to make an interesting image of one leaf, or to frame an urban scene that turns the ordinary into the extraordinary.

My art is inspired by my constraints of no exotic locations, no complex lighting, and a single fixed prime lens. I also see the structure and rhythm of the world, having a background in mathematics and computer science, which gives my compositions a highly purposeful look.
I have become adept at long exposure photography of cityscapes, using multiple images and software processing to get an effect that gives a "magical" feel to scenes. It is meant to be fun; realism be damned!
